To me, this is a beautiful message, and oh, so applicable to many periods in my life. Is not the healthy person continually involved in redefining herself / himself? By nature, one's life course feels like a "two steps forward / one step back" process (and occasionally, the reverse), but the circuitous, and sometimes seemingly faltering, path toward a goal / the goal (or destination) is just the nature of things, and very necessary much of the time; and one has the opportunity to learn and grow at every stage and from each experience.
What a poignant reflection, George, thank you so much for adding your voice to this conversation. I have often struggled with this because I tend to shift so often and so rapidly into new layers and versions of myself that I used to worry I wasn't staying consistent enough or modulated enough in my expression for others. Now I'm learning to love the momentum, the constant changing, the nature of things. :)
Wonderful, powerful, comforting message. Thank you.
You're so welcome! This was definitely for me too.
